INTRODUCTION The University of New Mexico is requesting proposals to provide the equipment, materials, supplies and supplemental labor to maintain both the Championship Course (South) and the North golf course. The UNM Championship Course is an 18-hole facility situated on 220 acres with 25,000 square feet of greens adjacent to the Albuquerque Sunport on University Boulevard and Rio Bravo Boulevard and Interstate 25 serving as the western boundary of the property. The UNM North Course is a 9-hole facility situated on 90 acres on the UNM campus bordered by Lomas Boulevard to the south and Indian School Road to the North. The Golf operation at both courses is one of the busiest in the city metropolitan area with golf rounds per year averaging 35,000 18-hole annual rounds at the Championship Course and 40,000 9-hole rounds at the North Course. The Championship Course hosts numerous National and Regional tournaments as well as Corporate golf outings. Both courses are open year-round with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and December 25 for a total of 363 days open to the public. TERM The term of the resultant agreement(s) arising from this proposal shall be for an initial term of four (4) years with the option to renew in accordance with 13-1-150 NMSA, 1978.
