Farming and Fishing and Forestry and Wildlife Contracting Services The Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "District") seeks one or more contractors to provide tree planting services for a period of up to five years as more fully described on Attachment 1. Parties interested in providing the desired services are invited to submit a Statement of Proposal according to the requirements specified in this RFP. All costs incurred by any submitting party in preparing and transmitting a response to this request are solely the responsibility of the submitting party. MBE/WBE Participation Goals The Contract Compliance Administrator for the Forest Preserve has set a participation goal of 0% MBE/WBE for subcontracting a percentage of the total value of the requested services to one or more MBEs and/or WBEs (as defined in the Forest Preserve Code of Ordinances) pursuant to Code Section 1-8-5; Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises. More information about MBE/WBE participation efforts is described in Section 4(C). The District reserves the right to modify the requirements set forth in this RFP and/or to request additional information from a submitting party. The District reserves the right to waive any informality in the proposal. The District reserves the right to make the award on an all or partial basis or split the award to multiple submitting parties. Budget. Multiple District user departments will utilize this contract, and the District has not set a specific budget across departments for this work at the time of contracting. The expectations should be between $100,000 and $500,000 per year, highly variable on the landscape service needs of the using departments. Contract Term. The Forest Preserve anticipates using the services requested in this RFP in fall of 2024. The Forest Preserve anticipates that the contract term will be for up to six (6) year(s). Renewal options will be considered at the end of years 2 and 4.
