It is bordered by the City of Commerce, Downey, South Gate and Bell. The City has a population of approximately 44,000 in an area of 2.5 square miles and is located in the southeastern part of Los Angeles County. The City boasts of offering beautiful parks, emerald green soccer fields, childcare centers, a sparkling lake stocked with fish and waterfowl, and a community golf course. The City has 147 full-time employees, and approximately 128 part-time at-will employees, depending on the season. The City of Bell Gardens ("City") invites qualified Consultants to conduct a Citywide Employee Classification and Compensation Study ("Services") as described herein. The purpose of the Classification and Compensation Study is to review the City's classification system and compensation plan to assess the alignment of job specifications of positions to the City's workflow and service needs, as well as determining the competitiveness of the City's compensation in the regional job market.
