Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Glenview, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Question Deadline 08/05/2025 at 3:00 PM CT Removal and replacement of bridge steel diaphragms, miscellaneous structural steel repair, pavement marking removal and replacement, and all collateral and auxiliary work needed to complete the project. Prevailing Wages. All wages paid by the contractor and each subcontractor shall be in compliance with The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), as amended, except where a prevailing wage violates a federal law, order, or ruling, the rate conforming to the federal law, order, or ruling shall govern. The Illinois Department of Labor publishes the prevailing wage rates on its website. If the Illinois Department of Labor revises the prevailing wage rates, the revised prevailing wage rates on the Illinois Department of Labors website shall apply to this contract and the contractor will not be allowed additional compensation on account of said revisions. The contractor shall review the wage rates applicable to the work of the contract at regular intervals in order to ensure the timely payment of current wage rates. The contractor agrees that no additional notice is required. The contractor shall be responsible to notify each subcontractor of the wage rate set forth in this contract and any revisions thereto. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond on the Department form contained in the bid document, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, by a bank cashiers check or a properly certified check for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, or for the amount specified in the following schedule. The bidder who submits the bid shall furnish a satisfactory Surety Bond in the amount of one hundred,m percent (100%) of the contract price within fourteen (14) days after receiving notice of acceptance. Such acceptance being contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by said bidder. Failure on the part of said bidder to so execute a Contract and Surety Bond shall be considered just cause for the forfeiture of the bid guaranty as payment of liquidated damages sustained by the County of Cook as the result of such, and the annulment of acceptance of the proposal. The Board of County Commissioners for the County of Cook reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities of form. Bids may be rejected if current work being performed for the County of Cook by the bidder has been unsatisfactory from the standpoint of workmanship or progress, or if the contractor has been awarded work by others subsequent to the issuance of the bid, which may, in the judgment of said Board of County Commissioners of Cook County endanger the prompt completion of the proposed improvement
