Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lexington, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of October 16, 2024, project was awarded to Blythe Construction Inc., with the amount of $3,716,338.85. This work generally consists of milling, full depth asphalt patching, and hot mix asphalt resurfacing of existing paved roads. Additional work will include curb & gutter removal and replacement. Each road surface will require appropriate tie-in to the existing drainage features and adjacent roadways. The limits of work are described herein along with details regarding specific items of work. Provide all materials, equipment, and labor to repair and/or resurface various Lexington County roads in accordance with the specifications, conditions, and provisions as provided herein. The successful bidder shall commence work within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of written "Notice to Proceed" by the Owner and fully execute and complete the project within 315 consecutive calendar days thereafter. The proposed Notice to Proceed date is November 12, 2024 therefore the calendar date of completion will be September 23, 2025. Question Deadline 09/24/2024 at 2:00 PM ET All Questions must be submitted via the Question Tab. The overall goal for participation for this contract is at least 5% of the contract bid price for MBE and 5% of the contract bid price for WBE. The Bidder must also agree to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $200.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as described in the General Conditions.
