Site work, new construction and remodeling of a multi-residential development in Quebec, Quebec. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; for the construction of a three-story above grade, 36-unit multi-residential development; and two-story above grade, 24-unit multi-residential development.
Société d'habitation du Québec (SHQ) has issued a call for qualifications to structure the development of highly prefabricated multi-family housing units for low- and moderate-income households and people with special housing needs. The call is based on a general project development strategy developed by the SHQ, as well as on the Quebec Housing Strategy - Building for Better Housing. Construction of the multi-unit dwellings of medium-density with between 24 and 36 units, two or three stories high. The units include studios or one- or two-bedroom apartments designed to accommodate one to four occupants, and the proportions of different unit types will vary. The buildings will not include elevators, common areas, or shared amenities, with the exception of circulation and storage areas. TIMELINE: Contracts for Design/Build services have been awarded following tender call # 730000014 (Reference number: 20016581) to LFG Construction, Locusi, Magil-Tisseur inc, Pomerleau inc, TB4 Ronam inc. General contractors are to finalize design and construct 500 housing units by March 2026 spread across several buildings and, subject to necessary approvals, another 500 by March 2027.
