Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shawnee, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The submittals received will be reviewed for the design of the Johnson Drive and Quivira Road Signal Replacement project. Engineering Consulting Firms must have an office within the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and be familiar with the City of Shawnee. Bidders will be notified of the results within fourteen (14) business days of the date set above to be received. The Contract shall be awarded by the Governing Body of the Owner at the sole and complete discretion of such Governing Body. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposal submittals and to waive informalities or irregularities of the submittals. The project consists of plan preparation and engineering during construction for the replacement of the traffic signal at Johnson Drive and Quivira Road. The new traffic signal will include the following items at a minimum: traffic control cabinet, signal uprights and mast arms, traffic signal and pedestrian heads, cable and conduit system, fiber interconnect, and ADA compliant curb ramps. The existing signal will remain operational throughout construction and will be removed once construction of the new traffic signal is complete. Geometric improvements at the intersection are not anticipated at this time. Right-ofway and/or easement acquisition in one or more corners of the intersection is anticipated to accommodate these improvements.
