Converged Network Design Consulting Services for the New Calgary Event Center Arena. 1. Responsibilities of the Proponent, if Selected (Base Services) 1. General Responsibilities proposed Team Members. 2. Designate a backup point of contact when the primary point of contact is not available. 3. Assist the client with identifying the pros and cons of utilization a variety of manufacturers for all network components and validate the approved manufacturers which will be included in network specifications. 2. Design and Specification Review Responsibilities 1. Review the relevant components of the Design Development package and advise on configurations, layouts, and value engineering. This will include all relevant single lines, cable tray layouts, Wi-Fi design and virtual modeling (incl iBwave or Ekahau), rack rooms, head-end rooms, and broadcast/production facilities as it relates to layout an integration. The selected proponent will have 2-weeks to review the relevant areas for this package and provide an initial Design Development Review Report. 2. Review relevant technical performance specifications for manufacturer systems to ensure they are being directed to provide/configure systems that will be operated on a singular converged network, appropriately. Experience coordinating systems such as lighting control, BMS, ice plant, onto converged networks is paramount to the success of the converged network. Ensure all IP-based devices are running on a enterprise grade corporate-designed network and validate that no stand- alone networks are proposed. This includes all technical scope, base building systems, AV/Broadcast and security. 3. The specification exercise referenced above will be repeated 2-3 times during the development of Construction Documents (August to March 2024). Additional design reviews will be ongoing during construction documents and, at minimum, after 50% Construction Documents and 90% Construction Documents.
