Site work for a water / sewer project in Ticonderoga, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Town of Ticonderoga owns and operates a water treatment and distribution system under New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Public Supply No. NY1500293 consisting of a well source located on Route 9N and a surface water source located on Lake George. The groundwater source is pumped from two wells and is disinfected with chlorine onsite at the Street Road Well Field Control Building. The surface water source is drawn from Lake George using two pumps and flows into a diatomaceous earth filter plant located on Baldwin Rd. On November 6, 2018, the Town of Ticonderoga received a notification from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) requiring the Town to install water meters to all residential and commercial service connections that utilize the public water system. The notice was the result of the water supply permit for the groundwater source. In 2021 The Town of Ticonderoga hired AES Northeast preliminary engineering report listing the project on the Annual Intended Use Plan with NYS EFC. Engineering RFQ Award; October 2024 Design Fall 2024-Fall 2025 Bidding - Winter/Spring 2026 Project Construction - Summer 2026 -Fall 2027 Substantial Completion - December 31, 2027. Total MWBE Participation Goals: 20% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
