Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 16,405-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
As of November 5, 2024, the Owner is bidding to prequalified bidders. Project is also known as Community Pool. The natatorium will be an independent structure that will be connected to the new high school building via a secure vestibule. The natatorium will feature a 6-lane swimming pool with locker rooms, mechanical rooms, restrooms, a storage room, and an athletic office. The natatorium building will be constructed simultaneously with the new High School but will have no contractual connection to the school project and will be funded 100% by the Town of East Longmeadow. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2024 with a substantial completion date no later than 7/30/26. Early packages will be used to ensure this schedule. This RFQ is solely for contractors seeking prequalification for the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection trade packages. All other filed sub bid trades associated with this project will be bid at a later time. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. PLEASE NOTE: The overall construction cost is valued at $14,000,000. The value of this bid package is not yet known.
