Paintsville High School Baseball Field Synthetic Turf Project Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cash or bidders bond executed by the bidder and surety company in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 % of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw a bid submitted for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the opening of bids. The Paintsville Independent School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. Scope of Work This project is the Paintsville High School Baseball Synthetic Turf Project, for the Paintsville Independent School District, located at 518 7th Street, Paintsville, Kentucky The Project includes: Supplying and installation of approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of synthetic turf covering the infield of the Paintsville High School Football field. Installation shall include grading of the permeable aggregate base layer with laser level. The Synthetic Turf Specification shall include: 1. A dual fiber system comprising of a 50/50 blend of slit film and monofilament fibers 2. The fibers shall be tufted on a 3/8" gauge tufting machine 3. The slit film fibers shall be 120 microns thick and have a total denier of 10,000 4. The monofilament fibers shall be 330 microns thick and have a total denier of 10,800 5. The turf will have a total face weight (yarn) of 50 oz. per SY 6. The primary backing shall have a total weight of 8.5 oz. per SY 7. The secondary coating weight (urethane) will be a minimum of 22 oz. per SY 8. The total product weight shall be a minimum of 80.5 oz. per SY 9. Infill shall be comprised of a minimum of 3lbs. of ambient SBR rubber and 3lbs. of silica sand per SF. Cryogenic rubber will not be accepted. 10. The infill used shall be NEW, i.e., shall not come from another turf field previously installed. 11. The finished pile height of the turf system shall be not less than 2". 12. All seams shall be sewn. Glued seams will not be accepted 13. The turf vendor shall provide an eight (8) year warranty 14. All turf yarns and finished turf systems shall be manufactured in the United States. Yarns produced outside the United States shall not be accepted. 15. The project shall be completed within 28 days of the Notification to Proceed.
