Renovation of a water / sewer project in Stamford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Stamford Water Pollution Control Authority (SWPCA) is hereby soliciting proposals from qualified firms to Design-Build a new emergency power generator and electrical controls to replace existing for the Greenwich Avenue Pump Station in Stamford, Conn RFP Deposit: 5% Contact for Technical Questions: Ann Brown, Supervising Engineer, 203-977-5896 or abrown2@stamfordct.gov For questions regarding the purchasing or bidding procedures, call or email Erik J. The SWPCA reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal, or hold the proposals for sixty (60) days before rendering a decision in its sole discretion. The award will be based on the proposal determined to be in the best interest of SWPCA and may not necessarily be based on the lowest fixed fee total price. SCOPE OF SERVICES: This is a turnkey assignment to be provided by the Design-Build method of project delivery. The Design-Build Firm will have singular responsibility for both design and construction for quality, cost and schedule adherence. The scope of services shall include: 1. Provide final design necessary for construction with design drawing(s) stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Connecticut. 2. Soil borings and geotechnical investigations as necessary. 3. Provide preliminary design drawings showing the proposed site plan and layout of new equipment, structural, electrical, mechanical, demolition and site restoration drawings, cut sheets of proposed equipment to be provided, and a description of the construction sequence to maintain operation of the pump station during construction, for review and approval by the SWPCA. 4. Preparation of applications and submittals for City approvals, including site plans, description of construction and environmental impacts, and attendance at meetings to secure approvals and permits for construction of the project from the City of Stamford Planning Board, Environmental Protection Board, Engineering Department, and Building Department. The project lies within the Coastal Area Management boundary and the firm shall comply with Coastal Area Management permitting requirements and regulations. 5. Provide shop drawings of the concrete pads (concrete and reinforcing), emergency power generator and enclosure, and electrical equipment for review and approval by SWPCA.
