The City of La Verne (City) is seeking an experienced consulting firm (Consultant) to coordinate and prepare a comprehensive 20-year Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The purpose of this Plan is to focus on immediate, short-term, and long-term capital development and improvement strategies that correspond to priority investments for critical parks and recreation services. The goal of the Plan is to provide a road map to accomplish the following: o Identify current and future parks and recreational needs through a capital improvement plan for developing and expanding parks, trails, and open space. o Provide an operations and maintenance plan that defines appropriate maintenance levels, replacement schedules, and staffing levels. o Provide an operations plan that defines appropriate recreational programs and staffing levels. o Develop an action plan for prioritizing, scheduling, funding, and accomplishing the identified needs. o Recommend new and/or modify existing policies to guide City Staff and City Council for the planning, development, and expansion of the City's open space, parks, trails, and recreation resources.
