The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of switchgear battery replacement, and before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the Plant Superintendent. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Our facility presently operates four banks of Power Safe flooded lead-acid batteries and one bank of Monolite AGM sealed batteries. There are two (2) battery banks in the high voltage side of the substation and two (2) banks in the low voltage side of the substation. Each existing battery bank in the substation high voltage side consists of twenty (20) Power Safe Flooded lead-acid batteries, Type 3CC3, Cat Number 610121- CW, and each existing battery bank in the low voltage side consist of twenty (20) Power Safe, type 3CC-5, Cat Number 610123-CW The existing generator bank batteries consist of ten (10) Monolite batteries, Type 12 SLA 50 2. The vendor will be required to replace all the existing batteries, chargers and racks. The substation batteries are to be replaced with Mesa BLSe batteries and the generator batteries are to be replaced with East Penn Fahrenheit batteries. Each battery rack must have associated and compatible chargers along with non-seismic racks to comply with updated safety standards.
