Renovation of a water / sewer project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This program provides funding to meet the need for sanitary sewer pump station rehabilitation or replacement throughout the city. Typical work includes upgrading or replacing stations experiencing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical problems; as well as addressing wet well rehabilitaton, safety issues, ventilation, corrosion and odor problems. New stations will also be programmed when sanitary sewer system condition assessments indicate a new or additional station is necessary to meet the needs of a given service area. Pump station initiatives can have equipment replacement, land acquisition, site assessment and modifications, design, and construction associated with new, rehabilitated and replacement stations. As of September 6, 2024, this project is included in the city's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
