SBCS is requesting Bids from Offerors to provide the most practical, time effective and cost-efficient solution to Renovate the Security Entrance at Lee Hill Elementary School as described in the Project Manual. The description of services shall establish minimum requirements and expectations. Spotsylvania County Public Schools intends to award to one Contractor but expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to award a bid to be in the best interests of Spotsylvania County Public Schools. Bids shall be based on the drawings and specifications provided by Quinn Evans Architects. SBCS will accept proposals from all Virginia Licensed, Class A Contractors qualified under the terms of the enclosed Documents. Any contract awarded as a result of this Invitation to Bid shall be bound by the General Construction Terms and Conditions. Contract Term will be from the date of Notice to Proceed March 10, 2025 It shall be the Vendor's responsibility to ensure his/her Bid has been received by the Procurement Department on or before the deadline published. SBCS is not responsible for delays in the Postal Service or other methods of delivery. Contract Award will be based on the Total Bid Amount on the bid form the Owner, in its discretion, decides to award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose Bid provides the lowest total project cost to the Owner. No bid can be withdrawn after the time set for the receipt of bids and for ninety days thereafter except as provided under Chapter 7, Section 2.2-4330, of the Code of Virginia, as follows: The bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim or right to withdraw his bid within two business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure and shall submit original work papers with such notice. The notice and the original working papers shall be given to the Owner, to the attention of Dawn M. Bidder agrees that they shall provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price if awarded a contract as a result of this bid.
