Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation is requesting proposals for the management and maintenance of Lions Water Adventure located at Kinston Community Center. Lions Water Adventure was constructed with the adjacent Kinston Community Center in 2011. Lions Water Adventure hosts many aquatic amenities which include, 3 water slides, a lazy river, kids lagoon, lap pool, and a heated therapy pool. A concession stand and a large pavilion are also part of the facility which can host up to 1200 patrons during operation. Lions Water Adventure currently operates each year from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Lions Water Adventure currently staffs 60-80 seasonal staff per season.
