Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in San Antonio, New Mexico. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The I-25 bridges were built in 1968 between Socorro and Truth or Consequences: • Bridge No. 6776 (northbound) • Bridge No. 6777 (southbound) • Two 3-span Warren Truss bridges with a 265 ft main span • Bridge width: 34 ft (two 12 ft lanes, 3.5 ft shoulders) • Right-of-way width: 200-550 ft (approx. 100-300 ft on each side of I-25) • Bridges are considered historically eligible As of March 13, 2026, no information has been released regarding general contractor selection timeline. Final design work is anticipated to begin in Summer 2026. A Federal Grant Commitment to Deliver, followed by advertisement for bids and contractor award, is planned for Fall 2026. Construction is expected to start in early 2027. Funding has been allocated.
