Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Allen, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Allen, Texas is seeking a Design / Build firm to perform typical and complete design build services in conjunction with design and construction of the Cottonwood Creek Bank Stabilization and Trail Replacement. The Method of Contractor Selection Has Not Been Determined at This Time. Electronic responses are the preferred method of receiving responses for this solicitation. If submitting by hard copy, all proposals will be sealed and received by the City of Allen Purchasing Office. Proposals shall be in one envelope clearly marked: Bid Number, Title, and Opening Date on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. Proposals for step 2 will be scored using a 100-point scale in accordance with the following criteria as outlined in the original RFQ 2024-7-60 under section VI Evaluation Criteria: Total Base Cost & Calendar Days 50% Technical Design/Construction 50% Notice of Contract award 01/15/2025 Design and Constrution Critera Requirements 1. Shall identify and detail the type of structural wall solution the TEAM will be designing in their RFQ submittal. 2. Shall account for flood waters within the defined creek as well as water surface elevation above the top of bank. (Note: all areas of erosion lie within the 100-year floodplain and all walls will be inundated to the 100-yr water surface elevation.) 3. Shall identify ingress/egress for each project site, which include disturbed areas. 4. Shall account for hydrostatic forces behind the wall and mitigate those forces. 5. Shall account for stabilizing existing structures around the proposed wall. 6. Shall account for adequate soil tie backs within required fill zone based on type of wall proposed. 7. Shall account for a wall height per location to tie into the existing top of bank. 8. Shall account for debris that are washed down the creeks during rain events. 9. Shall provide record drawings of actual constructed solution in CADD and pdf formats. The TEAM shall anticipate that the design drawings must be at least a 60% sealed level, approved by the City of Allen, before construction will be allowed to begin.
