Pursuant to 41-4-133 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles requests qualifications from qualified design professionals to provide architectural / engineering services under an Open-Ended Agreement, on an as-needed basis, for various projects at facilities throughout the State of Alabama. Proposed Scope of Work: The scope of work includes full architectural and/or engineering services for various renovations, repairs, remodeling, and new construction projects at the Bureau's facilities located throughout the State. The project may include, but is not limited to, security fencing upgrades, water line replacements, wall repairs, work on a Women's Reentry Center in Thomasville, maintenance/repairs/replacement, and roofing repairs/replacements. HVAC The estimated construction budget for this project is $1,500,000.00. The type of funding is state and federally funded. The term of the agreement will be two (2) years with an option to renew for two (2) additional years. The design services will be contracted under both fees and hourly rates in accordance with the Manual of Procedures of the State of Alabama Department of Finance, Real Property Management, Division of Construction Management (DCM). Qualifications: The Applicant shall demonstrate experience with similar projects and demonstrate familiarity with DCM's procedures and forms for design and construction projects as it relates to Pardons and Paroles facilities. The Applicants and any consultants shall hold current professional licenses and be registered in the State of Alabama. Recognizing the composition of Alabama's citizenship, ABPP encourages submittals from design professionals that represent Alabama firms with diversity in their staffing, proposed project team, and associated design professionals and consultants.
