The Material is Generally 6,000 Tons (More or Less) of Modified Class 5 as Specified in Minnesota Standards #3138 Standard Specifications for Construction, Except That the Number 200 Sieve Shall Be Modified to 9-12%. Material is to Be Spread by Belly Dumps, Minimum of 5 Trucks Per Day of Hauling, Scale Tickets Are to Be Provided. The City May Do Random Truck Weight Compliance Scaling. Each quote will be accompanied by a bond naming the City of North Branch as obligee, or certified checks payable to the City of North Branch or cash deposit equal to 5% of the bid which will be forfeited to the City of North Branch in the event that the quoting contractor fails to enter into a contract. The City reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest quotes for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after reviewing quotes. No quotes may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of the bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the City. Within ten (10) days of accepting the quote, a certificate of insurance must be presented corresponding to the dates and length of contract.
