Site work and paving for a civil project in Cottonwood Shores, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
7,315 linear feet of existing street reconstruction, including, 14,160 square yards of milling, recompacting and level up. 5,220 square yards of subgrade preparation. 5,220 square yards of 6 flexible base shoulders. 16,765 square yards of two course surface treatment. 860 linear feet of 12 CMP drainage culverts. 350 linear feet of 12, 18 and 24 storm culverts. 51 each existing driveway reconstruction or construction of new driveway The work also includes removal and relocation of existing mailboxes, adjustment of valve boxes, cleanouts, meter boxes and related work items. Temporary and Permanent Erosion and Traffic Control Bids must be submitted on the Proposal and Bid Schedule forms provided and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in a penal sum approximately equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. The Security may be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or Bid Bond furnished by a reliable surety company having authority under the laws of Texas to write surety bonds in the amount required, with such security made payable without recourse to the City of Cottonwood Shores, Texas. The envelope containing the Bid shall indicate clearly on the front it is a Bid for Cottonwood Shores Street Reconstruction Improvements, located in the City of Cottonwood Shores, Texas. The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be given to the successful Bidder by the City within sixty (60) days following the opening of Bids and no Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after Opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of Cottonwood Shores may require, to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informalities in Bids received.
