Site work for a civil project in Richmond, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Power supply and control for the swing span is provided by the submarine cable submerged 2m below the riverbed. The cable is approaching end of life and has begun to fail. There are no spare conductors to provide power and swing control in the event of a failure. The project will design a cable replacement as well as design replacements for other aged electrical equipment. Project Location: Middle Arm Bridge is located on Sea Island Way crossing the Fraser River between Sea Island and Richmond. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
