The City's Department of Public Works is issuing this Request for Bids to solicit services from all interested, qualified, and licensed vendors to provide sale and delivery of chemicals for water and wastewater facilities on an as-needed basis. The chemicals are: - Liquid chlorine in 150 lb. cylinders - Liquid chlorine in 1-ton cylinders - Liquid sulfur dioxide in 1-ton cylinders - Cationic polymer in 55-gallon drums - Liquid ammonium sulfate in 120-gallon containers The City will not reimburse the responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing bids, clarification of a response, and/or oral presentations which may be, at its discretion, required by the City. Requests for clarification shall be directed in writing by email to John Trevino, Assistant Director of Public Works - Utilities, at jtrevino@bellairetx.gov by September 18, 2024. Minimum Bid Acceptance Period Submittals shall be valid and may not be withdrawn for a period of 120 days from the date specified for receipt of submittals. The City reserves the right to negotiate all elements of the proposal to ensure that the best possible consideration is afforded to all. The City also reserves the right to retain all bids submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected.
