Question Deadline 09/20/2024 at 10:00 PM CT The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids to provide material, equipment, labor, and supervision as necessary for complete modification/reconfiguration of the existing infrared heating system. Location: I-80 east of Van Meter (Dallas) and west Colfax, Milepost 151 (Jasper) Contract Award It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Line items are tied. No substitutions. All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the site on or before the cut off date and time as indicated in the solicitation. Estimated project start date- Upon issuance of award (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date- 11/15/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). Contractor is required to provide all materials, equipment and labor for the removal and replacement of material as per plans/specifications outlined on the Attachments tab. This includes the disposal of all debris off site. All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the site through the cut off period for question submissions.
