If a Bidder contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed Project is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, it may submit a written request for an interpretation thereof to the Owner at purchasing@cantonohio.gov. Requests received fewer than 5 days prior to bid opening may not be answered. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made by Addendum only and will be made available by the City's web tool. The Owner will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed documents
Question Deadline 09/27/2024 All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing wage rates apply. All bidders will be required to comply with the City Contract Compliance Program regarding equal employment opportunity. After submission and opening, no bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the City reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. The successful Bidder, who, as a Bid Guaranty, submits a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid, shall furnish a Contract Bond in the form included in the Contract Documents in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. The Owner reserves the right to reject any, part of any, or all bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities. The Bidder expressly acknowledges this right of the Owner to reject any or all bids or to reject any incomplete or irregular bid. Bidders must furnish all information requested on the Bid Form.
