Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Auburn, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The second-floor framing is true rough sawn 2 x 8 spaced at 16 O.C. The maximum span, for a 2 X 8 joist supporting 20 PSF dead load and 100 PSF Live Load, is 8-6. The ends of the joists are notched into the brick masonry walls in the original building and bear on top of the masonry wall in the addition. The joists may have rotting and deterioration. In some areas the exterior walls have been furred out with 2x4 stud walls to support the ends of the second-floor joists. The floor is also sagging towards the center of the room. Structural Engineer recommends the following for the second floor: . Recommends furring out the remaining exterior walls on the first floor and in the basement in areas to support the ends of the existing second floor joists. The walls should be furred out with 2x4 @ 16 O.C. No. 1 southern yellow pine. Wood in direct contact with concrete or masonry shall be pressure treated. . Recommends reinforcing the floor framing where the span exceeds 8-6 by sistering a new 2x8 @ 16 O.C. No. 1 Southern Yellow Pine. . The second floor is sagging due to overloading the first-floor beams. I recommend adding new 6x6 PT posts from the foundation slab to the underside of the existing first floor beams. Equally space the new post between the existing posts. Secure the post to the slab with a Simpson ABA66Z. Secure post to the bottom of the beam with a Simpson PC6Z post cap. No further information will be read, discussed, or provided until the evaluation of all submittals is completed. No extension of the bidding period will be made other than by a formal written addendum. Time of completion for all work associated with his project shall be fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days from the date of a written request "Notice to Proceed" from OWNER. The City reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and use any idea(s) in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. The city reserves the option to reject any or all bids, in whole or part, or to select any bidder to complete the described Work. Award of Contract may not be solely based on low bid, but also on quality, references, and other subjective criteria as the City may deem necessary and as the City may determine at its sole discretion. The Undersigned Bidder expressly understands that his proposal may be rejected by the City for any reason without liability on part of the City to the Undersigned Bidder
