Site work for a civil project in Clifton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The City of Clifton seeks experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in the dredging of historically (archaeologically) sensitive sites as well as the cleaning and repairing of culvert and drainage features to submit prequalification statements for the: Morris Canal Drainage Improvement Project The project generally consists of the following: 1. Cleaning and dredging of existing stream including the bed of the former Morris Canal; an archaeologically sensitive site. 2. Construction of open cell articulated concrete block matting. 3. Reconstruction of existing rip rap protection at drainage outlet including slope erosion control. 4. Working with an archaeological firm prior to and during construction to comply with requirement of the New Jersey Register Act. All prospective bidders must demonstrate experience in the successful completion of projects of a similar scope and nature that followed the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (Revised 1995) performed to the satisfaction of the Owner.
