University of Washington is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from experienced firms to provide on-call architectural and engineering services for elevators and conveyance systems in campus facilities. This RFQ is intended to seek firms who have specialized professional experience to provide on-call elevator consulting services for the University's elevator and conveyance systems. Eligible firms shall be responsible for providing services, including, but not limited to assessments, modernizations, new installations, options analysis and other project design services. The services under the Master Agreement may include, but are not limited to: o Feasibility Studies o Cost Estimates o Pre-Design Reports o Interior Design/Programming; o Schematic Design; o Design Development; o Construction Documents, including Bid Documents; o Permit drawings, assistance/coordination; o Review of equipment and product specifications; o Support for Maintenance and Repair Projects o Construction administration, including, but not limited to, sufficient quality and quantity of inspections to certify the Project, review of shop drawings and other submittals, and a CADD/electronic file Record Set of Final As-Built Drawings ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR CONTRACT: The initial term of the Master Agreement will be two (2) years with an option for the University, with the consultant's concurrence, to extend the Agreement by amendment for two additional two (2) year terms (for a maximum of six (6) years). 1. A contract will be awarded only to design firm qualified by experience and in a financial position to perform the Scope of Service for the terms of the Agreement. 2. Firm must have a minimum of five (5) years of continuous licensure in the State of Washington, and in good standing with all state agencies regarding licensing, taxes, and employment. 3. Responses to Questions Due Friday, September 27, 2024 Minority Women's Business Enterprise (MWBE): More than 50% owned and controlled by at least one woman who is a member of one or more of the above minority groups. Small Business Enterprise (SBE): A business entity that: Can attest that it is owned and operated independently from all other businesses and; Conforms to the U.S. Small Business Administration Size Standards of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes in which it is to be engaged at the UW; or is certified with the OMWBE. Veteran's Business Enterprise (VBE): Certified with the Washington State Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA), or a certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise. Women's Business Enterprise (WBE): More than 50% owned and controlled by one or more women. UW reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received without penalty and not to issue a contract as a result of this solicitation
