Renovation of an educational facility in Bel Air, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. Roofing work includes removing existing built-up roofing, cover board; insulation, and flashings where indicated; preparation of existing deck, including repair or replacement of unsuitable deck; infill of openings at locations of abandoned/removed equipment; and installation of new roofing system, including: a. Install Insulation: Base layer mechanically fastened to existing metal deck. All other layers fully adhered, including single-ply membrane and tapered layers of polyisocyanurate insulation as per drawings. b. Install tapered insulation as indicated on drawings; stagger joints between multiple layers. c. Install new crickets, tapered edge strips, and other shapes where indicated and where required to provide positive slope to drains. d. Install new cover board, thickness as specified for roof systems; adhered to insulation. e. Install new single-ply membrane where indicated on drawings. f. Raise curbs, perimeter systems and flashings as required to accommodate thickness of additional insulation and cover board, as indicated on drawings. g. Raise, extend, relocate or remove existing HVAC, plumbing, electrical and telecommunications, equipment/items as indicated on drawings. h. Install new elastomeric membrane, sheet metal and fluid-applied flashings. i. Install new metal copings, edge metal, fascia and trim. j. Install and flash-in new roof drains. k. Install roof hatches, both standard and at ship ladder and safety railing per specs and drawings.
