The bond calls to plan and create a new downtown sports and entertainment district centered around a modern arena for the NBA’s Spurs. he multibillion-dollar proposal includes major projects in the downtown Hemisfair area, expansion of the Henry B. González Convention Center, renovations to the Alamodome, a new convention-center hotel, conversion of the John H. Wood Jr. Courthouse into a mid-sized concert venue, and even a land bridge over I-37 to better connect the district. This project will be in the county’s bond election. As of October 21, 2025, the bond election will be held on November 4, 2025, with early voting October 20-31, 2025. Information regarding design firm, construction manager, and general contractor has not been released. Further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been released.
