The City of San Rafael (City) hereby requests proposals from qualified consultant teams for environmental and engineering services for the South Merrydale Road - Civic Center Connector Pathway (also known as the Rafael Meadows Safe Crossing Pathway) Project (Project). Services include the complete design and environmental documentation of the Project including, but not limited to: CEQA and NEPA clearance, civil, electrical, geotechnical, structural, and traffic engineering, grant funding documentation assistance, rightof-way and property acquisition, and outreach support. The Project would improve access by filling a critical gap under US Highway 101 at the Marin Civic Center Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) station, to the south of the train tracks. The creation of a multiuse path in this location would link the Rafael Meadows neighborhood and neighborhoods west of US Highway 101 with existing multi-use paths on the east side, creating a pathway that is safe and comfortable for active transportation users of all ages and abilities.
