The City of Conroe is requesting quotes for tree removal services in various parks within the City. The project includes all materials, labor and equipment for tree and stump removal as set forth in the specifications. 1. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment for tree and stump removal. 2. Contractor shall secure the worksite area to prevent public from entering work zone. 3. Contractor shall cut down tree as close to ground as possible and remove from property including all small debris associated with tree removal. 4. Contractor shall grind all stumps to four (4) inches below grade unless otherwise indicated. 5. Contractor shall backfill stump hole using grindings from stump and rake area level. 6. Contractor is responsible for any damage to any light fixtures, fences, sprinklers, playground structures, buildings, drinking fountains, sidewalks & trails caused by tree removal. This list is not an exhaustive list. 7. Contractor is responsible for any rutting caused by his/her vehicle(s) and/or equipment. 8. Tree removal locations are: a. Candy Cane Park - 1204 Candy Cane Lane, Conroe / 77301 b. Wedgewood Greenbelt, near Foy Martin Dr., Conroe / 77304 c. Heritage Place, 500 Metcalf St., Conroe / 77301 9. Trees are identified with flagging and/or paint. 10. Contractor is responsible for visiting sites to identify exact locations of trees and stumps. 11. Contractor is responsible for locating all utilities within the work zone(s). 12. Diameter of tree is measured at approximately four and one-half feet above ground level. Diameter measurements are given in approximate inches. Bidder's desiring further information or interpretation must request such information in the questions electronically. The City reserves the right to award parts of bids, reject any or all bids and to waive technical irregularities in the bids. The award will be made to the bidder who provides the goods and services at the best value for the City.
