Remove and replace a chiller plant, DHW circulation pumps, glycol pumps and tie in with the BAS. Project consists multiple buildings at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change building located at 125 Resources Road, Etobicoke, ON M9P 3V6. 1. 230675-280041: Chiller Plant-Water Cooled-Centrifugal Overhaul The intent of the project is to remove and replace the chiller plant in the Central Heating Plant (B16361) including: Replace the chiller plant consisting of four (4) 550 Ton water-cooled centrifugal chillers at the central heating plant (B16361), due to premature failure. Remove and replace of all associated controls, piping, insulation, valves, sensors and pumps as required (valves and VFDs are a major concern). Tie-in and programming with the BAS. 2. 230742-280042: Repair - DHW Inlet Circulation Pump The intent of this repair requirement is to replace the DHW Inlet Circulation Pump in the East Wing Water Resources Lab (B16338) including: Replace the domestic hot water inlet circulation pumps for the domestic water distribution system within the East Wing building (B16338) of the Water Resources Lab building's mechanical room. Tend to all issues related to the DHW Inlet Circulation Pump and related components associated with the Domestic Water Distribution. Contractor to remove existing pump and supply new domestic hot water pump inclusive of matching electric motor. The contractor shall remove existing copper piping, insulation and valves and shall supply and install new piping, insulation and valves. The contractor shall confirm if completion of this project will require the water to be shut down for any period of time. If so, this may require additional contingencies related to after-hours work and/or moving staff to a swing space. East Wing has highest occupancy. Up to 100 people. Swing space requirements would be extensive. Swing space to be considered as last resort. TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering design has been issued by the Owner's Agent.
