Minor Renovations - Chase PE - Phase 1. Contract term: December 2026 Scope of Services Development of construction documents for phase 1 renovations, bid assistance and construction administration for the project. The project will include MEP design, fire alarm design, a hazard materials survey, hazardous materials design cost estimation, and code analysis. Add sound proofing between classrooms to mitigate acoustical issues. o The Women's Locker Room (208) will be fully renovated to become an office suite for SPES, Athletics, and Sports Information. The Chase Physical education building is a 75,000 sq ft concrete and masonry building constructed in 1962. The building is generally well maintained but largely in original condition. The campus facilities master plan calls for a series of minor interior renovations to suit the programmatic needs of the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences pending a comprehensive renovation slated for around 2025. A program study conducted in 2023 identified a first phase of renovations (10,000 sf ft) including classroom upgrades, locker room renovations and locker room conversions to faculty offices.
