Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a 18,568-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.
Barkers Creek Industrial Park Shell Buildings The Barkers Creek Industrial Park Shell Buildings Project #01-79-15278 will be partially funded with federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal Laws and regulations associated with that program. The Project includes the following Work: The project will involve the construction of two separate shell building spaces. The first building will be 10,560 square feet and 30'6" tall. Approximately half of this square footage will be open air on the side of the building with three walls and a roof to receive material deliveries. The second building will be 8,008 square feet and 55' tall. The buildings will be engineered metal buildings and include ventilation, a bridge crane, utility connections, and associated site work. The project will also include the reinforcement of an existing bridge structure to be used for construction purposes. The Work will be substantially completed within 300 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 330 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Wyoming County Economic Development Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. A one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond are required for the successful bidder as part of the conditions of the work. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. Contractors are required to comply with all laws pertaining to prevailing wage rates for the federal wage rates issued in accordance with the Davis Bacon Act. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 30-42-12 of the West Virginia Code. The Wyoming County Economic Development Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bid submission info : A two-envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on Contract - Barkers Creek Industrial Park Shell Buildings Received by the Wyoming County Economic Development Authority Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first, and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR - 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal", will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal" will not be opened, and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.
