The White County Board of Commissioners and White County Public Safety is committed to ensuring the safety and resilience of our community by enhancing the reliability of critical public safety infrastructure. To achieve this, we are issuing an Invitation to Bid for the purchase and installation of backup emergency generators at key Fire Stations and other essential Public Safety facilities across White County. This initiative is crucial in safeguarding the continuous operation of emergency services during power outages, severe weather events, and other emergencies. By equipping these facilities with reliable backup power, we will ensure that our first responders, animal control services, and communications infrastructure can function without interruption, no matter the circumstances. All questions concerning this proposal must be submitted in writing (email is preferred but mail may be used) to the Public Safety Director no later than Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 5:00pm Any purchase order / contract awarded pursuant to this Invitation to Bid shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible contractor whose bid meets the requirements and specifications set forth in this Invitation to Bid. A "responsive bidder (contractor)" is a contractor who has submitted a bid, which conforms in all material respects to the Invitation to Bid. A "responsible bidder (contractor)" is a contractor who has the capacity in all respects to perform fully the contract requirements and the integrity and reliability which will assure good faith performance. The White County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to determine which contractor should be awarded the project which deems to be in the best interest of the County. Proposals may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the time and date set for closing, except as allowed by the OCGA. White County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities.
