Prebid questions regarding the Plans and Specifications shall be submitted via email only to: Ms. Irma Vargas at irvargas@dpw.lacounty.gov. Prebid questions will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024. Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bond payable to County of Los Angeles in an amount equal to at least 10 percent of the bid to guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if it is so awarded. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to a responsible contractor with the lowest responsive bid; however, the Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder will be required to submit a faithful performance bond, payment bond, and liability and workers' compensation insurance with the contract. The County encourages the participation of Community Business Enterprises (CBE) in the project and has established a goal of twenty-five percent CBE participation which all bidders shall aspire to meet.
