DESCRIPTION OF WORK: All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Kimley-Horn. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Renovation and expansion of park facilities at three existing City parks, namely Dunklin Riser, JL Rowe Park, and Shady Brook Park. Dunklin Riser, 3631 Oak Street, Coleman, FL 33521. Proposed improvements will consist of the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, new site furnishings, a new picnic pavilion, a new basketball court, tennis court improvements, existing picnic pavilion improvements, and associated sitework and paving. JL Rowe Park, 1627 Central Avenue, Coleman, FL 33521. Proposed improvements will consist of the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, new site furnishings, a new picnic pavilion, a new basketball court, tennis court improvements, a new pre-fabricated restroom with associated utilities, new basketball court lighting, a new garden, and associated sitework and paving. Shady Brook Park, 1015 N Hwy 301, Sumterville, FL 33585. Proposed park improvements will consist of the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, new site furnishings, a new picnic pavilion, a new pre-fabricated restroom with associated utilities, and associated sitework and paving. CONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 270 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. Total construction duration is 300 consecutive calendar days. All bids shall be prepared using the Project Manual and Drawings. Addenda will be sent via e-mail to all documented plan holders up to seventy-two (72) hours before the Bid closing time. The Owner/Engineer is not responsible for delivery of addenda to prospective bidders. BID SECURITY: A 5% bid security is required for this project, to be submitted with bids. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida.
