Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Coleman, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.
All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Kimley-Horn. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Renovation and expansion of park facilities at three existing City parks, namely Dunklin Riser, JL Rowe Park, and Shady Brook Park. Dunklin Riser, 3631 Oak Street, Coleman, FL 33521. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Kimley-Horn. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Renovation and expansion of park facilities at three existing City parks, namely Dunklin Riser, JL Rowe Park, and Shady Brook Park. Dunklin Riser, 3631 Oak Street, Coleman, FL 33521. Proposed improvements will consist of the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, new site furnishings, a new basketball court, tennis court improvements, existing picnic pavilion improvements, and associated sitework and paving. JL Rowe Park, 1627 Central Avenue, Coleman, FL 33521. Proposed improvements will consist of the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, new site furnishings, a new basketball court, tennis court improvements, a new pre-fabricated restroom, a new garden, and associated sitework and paving. Shady Brook Park, 1015 N Hwy 301, Sumterville, FL 33585. Proposed park improvements will consist of the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, new site furnishings, a new pre-fabricated restroom and associated sitework and paving. CONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 210 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. Total construction duration is 240 consecutive calendar days. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The City of Coleman is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes bids from MBE/WBE and Section 3 Contractors. Questions are due December 10, 2024 at 5 pm.
