Renovation of an educational facility in Alden, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of November 13, 2024, the Alden CSD forwarded your message on to me. All bids for this referenced project were rejected. The District is investigating alternative scope/procurement options for this work. But it will not be based off the previously issued bidding documents. Project consists of removal and replacement of existing exterior doors, frames and hardware as indicated on drawings. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Bid bond payable to the owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in connection with any bid. Bidders or subcontractors who return all Bidding and Contract Documents in good condition within ten (10) days of receipt of bids and have remitted payment, will receive a full refund of the deposit. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. All potential bidders must be able to self-perform a minimum of 20% of the work associated with the contract that they submit bids for. Proof of self-performance shall be provided following the bid as required in the instructions to Bidders.
