PROJECT DESCRIPTION A fine graded base, of a 3/4" inch gravel material, may be required over the existing shaped & compacted base. The additional cost of the fine grade aggregate, placed, shaped & compacted to be submitted on a per ton bases as an additional cost. The blended base shall be fine graded and compacted to 24' width with a normal 2-percent centerline crown. Furnish and install approximately 4,350 tons of Wis. DOT 4 PG- MT 58-28 S Hot or Warm mix Asphaltic Pavement. The pavement shall be a minimum of 20 feet wide, 2 1/2 inch compacted thickness with a 2% slope crown. An additional 2 ft width by approximately 300' shall be added to the inside of the marked long curve. Three sets of rumble strips shall be added, included in the asphalt paving at the Co. Hwy M approach. Provide 2 foot wide compacted shoulder & finished roadway work shall be included Fog stripe thru the long curve 400' & Centerline painting to be bid as an additional cost. Please provide paint types. & cost per foot. All work shall be completed no later than October 15, 2025. The work schedule will be mutually agreed to by the Town of Sumner and the successful bidder. The work shall be completed in accordance with the latest edition of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Constriction. The Town of Sumner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process or accept bids which best serve the interest of the Town.
