Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the addition of a 55,500-square-foot, six-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Initial phase of a long-term multi-phase project to renovate and add to the existing facility. Project to include demo of lecture hall appendage on south side of the building and replace it with a new addition with new instructional spaces, a new primary north entrance to the building and campus, relocated loading dock, a new chemical handling facility, and key enabling scope for future critical repairs. Project to include modernization of instructional spaces enabling relocations of academic offices and investments in mechanical and electrical systems and building envelope. RFQ for the following trades: Masonry; Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron; Waterproofing, Damp-proofing, Caulking; Roofing and Flashing; Glass and Glazing; Tile; Acoustical Tile; Resilient Floors; Terrazzo; Painting; Elevators; Fire Protection; Plumbing; Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning; Electrical Overall construction cost is estimated at $958,000,000. The value of this bid package is approximately $39,975,000.
