Colony Main Canal Lorraine Street Bridge Replacement and Seepage Reduction Project: Center Avenue to Lorraine Street for the Colony Main Canal Lorraine Street Bridge Replacement and Seepage Reduction Project: Center Avenue to Lorraine Street. The work includes: Scarifying, trimming, and placement of compacted embankment within the existing segment of the Colony Main Canal; placement of unreinforced concrete lining; demolition and removal of the existing Lorraine Street Crossing; installation of new rubber gasket reinforced concrete pipe culverts, reinforced concrete headwalls, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and asphalt roadway. The work is "public work" subject to prevailing wages. Listings of the prevailing wage scale for this work are available on the internet. The bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid and made payable to City of Dos Palos (City). The certified check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract, if awarded a contract, and will be declared forfeited if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into said contract within 10 days after being requested to do so. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Contractor shall possess a Classification A - General Engineering Contractor license or other specialty licenses as required under the laws of the State of California. The bids will be opened in public at the above prescribed time and date. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, however, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bid, and to postpone the date of bid opening.
