As of November 12, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The prime contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the installation of backflow assemblies throughout the Pontiac Correctional Center. The base bid also calls for the installation of water flow meters, flow meter readout/transceiver units, several insertion valves to facilitate the outdoor installation of backflow assemblies, a water softening system, two variable flow booster pumps, and a reverse osmosis system. Alternate P-1 calls for the installation of communication wiring, controllers, water meter software, and DDC panels to facilitate the transmission of meter outputs to a data acquisition and processing system located in the engineering office through the DOC's new fiber-optic network. Workmanship shall be complete in every aspect, tested, and satisfactory to the Using Agency, CDB, the A/E, and in accordance with State and Federal laws governing this installation Bid security must be submitted with each bid equal to 10% of the base bid and must be in the form of a CDB bid bond, certified check The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond covering the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, in accordance with the Public Construction Bond Act (30 ILCS 550). Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract on forms provided by CDB and executed by a surety acceptable to CDB Minority, Women, Persons with Disabilities, and Veteran Business Subcontractor/Supplier Participation is Applicable. The participation goal percentages on the amount of the contract awarded by CDB for this project are: 20% MBE, 5% WBE and 2% PBE/VBE.
