The proposed Reconstruct Roadway work is located in on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, within Gila County, and near the community of San Carlos, Arizona, with the eastern limit located 4000 feet east of the intersection with Skill Center Road and a western limit 1000 feet east of the CK Canyon Wash beginning at MP 2.1 and extending easterly to MP 4.7, for approximately 2.65 miles. The work consists of widening and reconstructing the existing two-lane undivided rural roadway into a two-lane rural roadway with a 8-foot shoulders with portions on a new profile. Work consists of earthwork, borrow, installing asphaltic concrete and aggregate base course; asphalt overlay, new box culverts, new pipe culverts; riprap and gabions; paved turnouts; micro seal, fencing and gates; pavement markings; signing; seeding; and other related work.
