Provide services for the removal and replacement of five (5) HVAC units in the Straus Building at our Transylvania County Campus. To provide and pay for all permits and inspections required for the scope of work and removal and disposal of existing units to be replaced. Project 1 - Install HVAC unit for classroom 142, install new equipment compatible to the existing unit and reconnect to the hot water lines from the boiler. New condenser outside to replace the existing unit. Reconnect ductwork, install power and control wiring. Install new condensate pump, drain line and condensate drain safeties. Install new Honeywell digital programmable thermostat. Project 2 - Install HVAC unit for classroom 143, install new equipment compatible to the existing unit and reconnect to the hot water lines from the boiler. New condenser outside to replace existing unit. Reconnect ductwork, install power and control wiring. Install new condensate pump, drain line and condensate drain safeties. Install a new Honeywell digital programmable thermostat. Project 3 - Install HVAC unit for classroom 148, install new equipment compatible to the existing unit and reconnect to the hot water lines from the boiler. New condenser outside to replace existing unit. Reconnect ductwork, install power and control wiring. Install a new condensate pump, drain line and condensate drain safeties. Install a new Honeywell digital programmable thermostat. Project 4 - Install HVAC unit for classroom 149, install new equipment compatible to the existing unit and reconnect to the hot water lines from the boiler. New condenser outside to replace the existing unit. Reconnect ductwork, install power and control wiring. Install a new condensate pump, drain line and condensate drain safeties. Install a new Honeywell digital programmable thermostat. Project 5--Install HVAC unit for the Library room 133, Install new equipment compatible to the existing unit. Install a new condenser outside on the ground and removal of the existing condenser from the roof. Reconnect ductwork, install power and control wiring. Install a new condensate pump, drain line and condensate drain safeties. Install a new Honeywell digital programmable thermostat. Daily cleanup of all work areas, paths of entry and material delivery or removal materials. Any damage to buildings, walkways and foliage will be the responsibility of the contractor to repair or replace at their expense. Any deficiencies found in the installation or materials used in the installation that would prevent receiving a green tag from inspectors will be the contractor's responsibility and expense to correct. The owner is to receive training on all equipment for facilities maintenance, training to include a scheduled walk-through for maintenance personnel. For construction contracts with a value of less than $300,000, the Owner has the responsibility to make a good faith effort to solicit minority bids and to attain the goal. The contractor shall include with his bid a completed Identification of HUB Certified/Minority Business Participation form. Contractor shall submit completed Appendix E MBE Documentation for Contract Payments form with final payment request. For construction contracts with a value of $300,000 or greater, the contractor shall comply with the document Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Businesses for Participation in State Construction Contracts including Identification of Minority Business Participation, Affidavits A, B, C, and D, and Appendix E. These forms provided herein are hereby incorporated and made a part of this contract. All work, including chosen Alternates, must be complete by May 30, 2025.
