Elk County Courthouse Window Blind Project The County of Elk Reserves the Right Lu Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any and All Informalities. Bids May Be Held by the County for a Period Not to Exceed 45 Days Lrom the Date of Opening for the Purpose of Reviewing Hids and Investigating the Qualifications of Bidders, Prior to Awarding the Contract. Contractor is responsible for the accuracy of his/her bids. Any issues related to inaccurate quantity calculations and/or associated cost estimates are the responsibility of the contractor and shall not be covered by the owner. All dimensions provided are for information only and shall be the responsibility of the contractor to verify prior to bid. All blinds are to be roller shades: continuous cord control with fabric wrapped valance with inside mount metal chain. Blinds should be Hunter Douglas or brand equivalent. Fabric to be a solid color and will need varying opacities and openness to be determined by owner. Colors will also be determined by owner. All installation to be included in bid. 1. Inspection and permitting Any permits are the responsibility of the Contactor; however, no permits are anticipated at this time. 2. Courtroom: 8 windows (2 parts each) A. Part1- 110" x 45-3/4" B. Part 2- 49-3/4" x 45-3/4". 3. Other Courthouse Offices and hallways A. (63) 81" x 43-1/2" B. (12) 109-3/4" x 45-3/4" C. (11) 109" x 45-3/4" D. (4) 49-3/4" x 45-3/4" E. (1) 84" x 56" All installation of new equipment shall conform to the manufacturer's installation instructions and be installed in a neat and workmanlike manner. o All construction to be completed per code requirements, accepted construction practices and OSHA standards, ADA requirements and bid specifications. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure all requirements are met and maintained throughout construction. o Contractor is responsible for furnishing and installing all the necessary hardware and equipment to complete work. Any damages or alterations to existing materials, equipment and/or utilities not intended for repair/replacement, or not included in the project scope, during construction will be restored or replaced to as near original condition as possible at no additional cost to the owner. o Contractor is responsible for clean-up and disposal of any and all debris. All debris shall be removed from the premises and shall not be permitted to accumulate unless specified by the owner. o All change orders and/or deviations from the bid specifications shall be submitted for approval to the Elk County Commissioners prior to implementation; work shall not commence on these items until written approval has been received. Any work required to restore unauthorized deviations from the bid specifications back to as near original condition as possible shall be the responsibility of the Contractor at no additional cost to the owner. o Contractor shall provide all information pertaining to the proper operation, maintenance, and care of products and systems installed to the owner at the completion of construction. o Owner is not responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or for safety precautions in connection with the Work. The owner will not be responsible for Contractor's failure to perform the Work in accordance with general accepted good construction practices. o Elk County Courthouse offices shall remain open throughout installation. Arrangements are to be made the County Court Administrator, LeeAnn Covac at lcovac@countyofelkpa.com or (814) 776-5375, prior to installation of all blinds so as to maintain County operations o Special arrangements are to be made for installation of blind in the courtroom as to not disrupt any court related activities including but not limited to, jury selection, trials, hearings and/or sensitive Court or police related activities. All arrangements are to be made with LeeAnn Covac, Court Administrator. o Temporary material storage shall be coordinated and approved by LeeAnn Covac, Court Administrator prior to delivery of materials.
