8 Cubic Yard Salt Spreader With Snowplow. The First Vehicle, in Each Purchase Order, to Successfully Complete the Pilot Unit and Vehicle Acceptance Inspections, Will Be Required to Complete a "performance Test" of Forty (40) Hours Duration Before It is Considered Accepted. The Test Will Be Conducted by the Department of Sanitation Personnel in New York City in Normal Department of Sanitation Use for the Type of Equipment Specified. The Vehicle Must Demonstrate That It Can Meet All of the Performance Requirements in the Detailed Segment Of This Specification. Providing the Unit Successfully Completes The Test, the Acceptance Date Will Be the Date the Test Began. If a Failure Occurs That the Department Considers Minor, the Test Will Continue. The Time to Repair the Failure Will Not Be Included in the Performance Test. When the Performance Test is Completed, the Acceptance Date Will Be as Stated Above. Should The Failure Be Considered Major by the Department, I.e. Engine, Transmission, Axle, Frame or Any Major Component, the Test Will Be Considered a Failure and Will Not Continue. The Unit Will Then Be Rejected. The Department Reserves the Right to Waive the Performance Test at Its Own Discretion. A Pre-solicitation meeting has been scheduled for the above commodity on 10/1/2024. The purpose of this meeting is to review the solicitation for the commodity listed above to ensure a successful bid, best product and to maximize competition. Your participation will assist us in revising bid terms and/or specifications, if needed, prior to bid opening to meet this goal. The exchange of information among buyers and sellers is necessary so vendors can understand City requirements and the city can obtain industry advice on current standards, new technology, commercial equivalents and new products and product lines. It is Incumbent on the Bidder to Identify and Advise the Office of Citywide Procurement (Ocp) of Any Discrepancy or Ambiguity Between the Contract Documents/riders and Specification(S) So They Can Be Resolved Prior to Bid Opening. When There is a Variation in the Description of an Item and the Specification or Model Number the Description Contained in the Specification Will Take Precedence. REJECTION OF TESTED UNIT: Based on the failure to satisfactorily pass the specified test herein may be cause for rejection and no further trials will be allowed except by written consent of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services.
