As part of the North Beach Master Plan, this NIP is a hardening and revitalization project with the primary objective of mitigating flooding caused by extreme rain events and sea-level rise. The Project includes elevating roads, a new stormwater treatment system and pump station, a new stormwater gravity collection system, and stormwater outfall and structure. This Project also consists of replacing existing water and sewer mains along the corridor. This Project will take the existing commercial hub of North Beach and transform it into a resilient, compact, pedestrian and bicycle-friendly town center that is vibrant, dynamic, and includes a mix of uses with an attractive residential living environment, compatible office uses, and neighborhood-oriented commercial services in medium-scale density. The purpose of this RFQ is to select a firm for professional design services for the right-of-way improvements in the North Shore D neighborhood to provide complete design and construction documents and related services necessary to implement the Project.
