Renovation of a municipal facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This Contract is for the Replacement of Surge Protection Device (Spd) Grounding Arrays for the Maryland Transit Administration (Mta) Catenary Light Rail Poles, Traction Power Substations (Tpss) Poles and Breakers. The Work Includes Construction of Elements Required to Interconnect With the Existing Overhead Contact System Poles as Follows: 1. Installation of Spd Down Conductor in Conduit Mounted on Ocs Poles. 2. Installation of Pole Mounted Spd for Tpss and Interlockings. 3. Installation of Test Wells for Each Contract Drawing. 4. Acceptance Testing for Spd Ground Array at All Location on Light Rail, Including Poles at Substation And Interlocking and Breaker Cubicles at Substations. 5. Demolition and Repair of the Concrete at the Westport Tpss Site and Installation of New Spd Grounding Arrays. See Special Provisions for Details. Project Cost Class E - $2,500,000 to $5,000,000 Mbe Participation (%) 20.00 Questions Regarding the Work Should Be Directed in Writing to Constructionrequests@mta.maryland.gov. Questions Concerning This Solicitation Must Be Received No Later Than 10/3/2024 at the Close of the Business Day. No Interpretations Other Than Written Shall Be Binding on the Administration. Addenda Bidders Are Required to Acknowledge All Addenda by Signing a Copy of Each Addendum Cover Letter and Include in Their Bid Package. Bid Bond Each Bid Exceeding $100,000 Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond on a Form Furnished by the Administration in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Price. Payment & Performance Bonds a Performance and Payment Bond is Required for All Construction Contracts in Excess of $100,000. The Performance Bond Shall Be in an Amount Equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Payment Bond Shall Be in an Amount Equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Bond Shall Be on a Form Furnished by the Mta, Underwritten by a Surety Authorized to Do Business in the State of Maryland, and in the Amount Specified by This Solicitation. Upon Receiving Notification of Contract Award, the Contractor Shall Deliver the Bond to the Mta No Later Than the Time the Contractor Executes the Contract. Bid, Payment, and Performance Security May Be in the Form of: (1) a Bond Executed by a Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State; (2) a Bond Executed by an Individual Surety That Meets Certain Criteria; (3) Another Form of Security Required by State or Federal Law; or (4) Another Form of Security Satisfactory to the Unit Awarding the Contract. Sections 13-207, 13- 216, 17-104 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. Basis for Award(S) the Contract Shall Be Awarded to the Responsible Bidder Submitting a Responsive Bid With the Most Favorable Total Bid Price (as Referenced in Comar 21.05.02.13) for Providing the Services as Specified in This Ifb. The Most Favorable Total Bid Price Will Be the Lowest Price Total on the Bid Form. Duration of Bid Bids Submitted in Response to This Ifb Are Irrevocable for 180 Days Following the Closing Date of the Bids. This Period May Be Extended at the Procurement Officer's Request Only With the Bidder's Written Agreement. Cancellation or Rejection of Bids Notice to Contractors May Be Canceled in Accordance With State Procurement Regulations. The Administration Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and/or Waive Technical Defects if, in Its Judgment, the Interests of the Administration So Require. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
